Abstract

This paper analyzes the article 16 B of Law No. 18.410, of the Superintendency of Electricity and Fuels, regarding the compensations for unauthorized power supply disruptions, including: the historical background of that rule; the correlation between the breach liability resulting from the unauthorized power supply disruptions and the compensatory nature of the rule; as well as the implications of that legislation in the fi eld of administrative penalties.
