The globalization process and the restructuring of capitalism, as well as the territorial consequences that derive from them, have generated a new research/development trend: New commercial and economic geography. This trend focuses on emerging economies, such as the ones in Asia Pacific, China, India and Brazil. The following article analyses the economic activities and the impact of geographic disparity in the development of the emerging markets.
