Main Article Content
Abstract
INTRODUCTION: As a result of the Covid-19 pandemic (SARS-CoV-2) and in order to observe social distancing, Universidad de Playa Ancha implemented a series of innovative and digital teaching strategies to keep students’ curricular progress going. OBJECTIVE: To determine nursing students’ satisfaction with the online and remote educational process implemented in times of pandemic. METHODOLOGY: This is a quantitative, descriptive, non-experimental and cross-cutting study. The 'Distance Teaching Satisfaction Scale' was applied to a non-probabilistic and convenience sampling (N=106). Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics. RESULTS: As of contribution to learning, students showed a favorable perception to this working modality. A positive appreciation is also shown towards an organized and respectful attitude from the instructor. There was a non-favorable perception relative to the interest shown by the instructor regarding the students’ access to technology tools. Participation was highly valued in all answers. CONCLUSIONS: Students develop autonomous and self-regulating skills in terms of their own learning processes, favoring their motivation towards professional training and academic self-concept. Nursing students greatly value the organization and planning of the academic subject-matters in on-line mode.
