Abstract
This text proposes an approach to the Latin American urban-aesthetic culture. That larger part of the population has not been given, until now, the expected theoretical attention and its sensibility and expressiveness have been denied, ignored or undervalued by the view of the intellectual elite that arrogates itself the legitimacy conceming the social judgement of taste. In other words, the major symbolic worlds, the conflicts and differences have been left aside and, most of all, the aesthetic manifestations the crowd is able to perform have been marginalized.
